The Council asks the UN to bring peacekeepers into Ukraine

This is stated in an appeal approved today by the parliament to a number of international organizations, informs censor.net with reference to UNIAN.

Deputies called on the UN, the Red Cross, the European Parliament, etc. to immediately protect the population of Ukraine from armed attack by Russian invaders.

These include the immediate introduction of a no-fly zone over Ukraine, the immediate opening of "green" corridors for the safe evacuation of people and the introduction of a UN peacekeeping force in Ukraine.

The Verkhovna Rada also appealed to the UN Secretary General to mediate the war.
