Taiwan and Ukraine are natural partners fighting for free world - Taiwanese Digital Minister Tang
Taiwan's Digital Minister Audrey Tang says Ukraine-Taiwan partnership is aimed at cultivating value-added jobs and rewarding careers in the 21st century's knowledge and high-tech sectors
She said this on Espreso TV.
“As one who appreciates and understands the power of technology to build better tomorrows for the people, I believe politics should never stand in the way of real cooperation. This is why I signed on behalf of Taiwan the Declaration for the Future of the Internet alongside the US and more than 60 partners worldwide in April 2022. The spirit of collaboration, openness and positivity contained in this historic document are manifested in the Taiwan Can Help Free the Future partnership between the Ministry of Digital Affairs and Lyceum Grono. It is an initiative promising to equip students and teachers with the ICT equipment and know-how to capitalize on an abundance of emerging opportunities in the global digital economy,” she said.
Taiwan's Digital Minister added that the Taiwan Can Help partnership represents a road map for relations between Ukraine and Taiwan.
“It is important we take bilateral ties to new heights on the back of our shared values such as respect for human rights, rule of law, free and fair trade, and passion for peace and stability. The partnership is the perfect platform for forging fresh fields of cooperation between Taiwan and Ukraine.”
