Success of Ukrainian Armed Forces counteroffensive will depend on speed of Western weapons supply - military expert Zgurets
Defense Express analyst Serhiy Zgurets believes that Ukraine will be able to launch a successful counteroffensive if Western military aid is delivered promptly
He expressed this opinion on the Espreso TV channel.
"Modern and timely military assistance from our partners will be an important prerequisite for a successful counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine also says this. Vadym Skibitskyi, a representative of Ukraine's Defence Intelligence, said that Ukraine is ready for a counteroffensive, but everything will depend on how timely we receive Western weapons. For example, if the HIMARS MLRS had arrived in Ukraine two months earlier, we would have been able to hold Sievierodonetsk," explained Zgurets.
The analyst emphasized that the Ukrainian army continues to prepare for counteroffensive actions
"Delays in the supply of certain types of weapons have a significant impact on the front line. Now the Ukrainian army is truly preparing for counteroffensive actions. Brigades are being formed and manned to become the main force for breaking through Russian defense lines. However, it should be understood that the format of this operation will depend on a sufficient number of forces and means," he added.
