According to them, the fighter jet's landing gear failed. 

Aircraft crashes in Russia: more cases

On June 17, 2022, a military plane crashed in the Belgorod region. It was a Su-25 attack aircraft. The crash occurred in the Korocha district. According to preliminary data, the attack aircraft hit power lines and crashed to the ground. The pilot survived and managed to eject during the crash.

On June 21, another military aircraft crashed in the Rostov Region under similar circumstances. According to preliminary data, the crash of the Su-25 attack aircraft was caused by a technical malfunction. The pilot died in the crash.

Subsequently, the plane, which was carrying out a commercial flight, disappeared while approaching the landing at the Olenok airport with 5 people on board.

On the night of June 23-24, an IL-76 transport plane crashed near the Russian city of Ryazan. There were about 10 people on board.

On January 10, 2023, in the Nenets Autonomous District of the Russian Federation, an An-2 plane made a hard landing 10 km from the village of Karataika - according to preliminary data, 2 people died.

On May 17, a reconnaissance light aircraft crashed in northern Russia. There were two people on board, and the pilot was injured.

Also in May, 2 Mi-8 helicopters, a Su-34 and a Su-35 aircraft crashed in the Bryansk region bordering Ukraine. According to preliminary data, they could have been shot down by anti-aircraft missiles. All crew members on both vessels were killed - 6 people. Also, a 51-year-old woman was injured in the incident - she was hit by debris.

On July 4, a Russian MiG-31 military plane crashed during a training flight in Kamchatka over the waters of the Avacha Bay.

On August 12, a Su-30 fighter jet allegedly crashed near the Russian city of Kaliningrad due to a technical malfunction, resulting in the deaths of all crew members.

Three days later, a military plane crashed in the Krasnodar Krai, killing a pilot who had fought in Ukraine.

On Tuesday, August 29, an Mi-8 helicopter belonging to the FSB crashed in the Chelyabinsk region of the Russian Federation. There were 3 people on board, all died.

Later, in September, a Su-24M bomber crashed in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation while performing a training flight. The fate of the crew remained unknown.
