Russian MiG-31 fighter jet crashes in Kamchatka

This is reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The accident occurred over the waters of the Avacha Bay. The aircraft was flying without ammunition.

Rescue services have arrived at the scene. The crew is being searched for.

The information was confirmed by the Russian Pacific Fleet.

• On June 17, 2022, a military plane crashed in the Belgorod region. It was a Su-25 attack aircraft. The crash occurred in the Korocha district. According to preliminary data, the attack aircraft hit power lines and crashed to the ground. The pilot survived and managed to eject.

• On January 10, 2023, in the Nenets Autonomous District of the Russian Federation, an An-2 plane made a hard landing 10 km from the village of Karataika - according to preliminary data, 2 people died.

• On May 17, a reconnaissance light aircraft crashed in northern Russia. There were two people on board, and the pilot was injured.
