NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this during a briefing following a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
"I regret today's decision by Russia that they have terminated their participation in the new Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Thus, Russia is no longer a member of this treaty. As of today, there are no new solutions," said NATO Secretary General.
Stoltenberg added that he would like Russia to reconsider its decision.
- On February 3, NATO called on Russia to fulfill its obligations under the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty for international stability.
