South Korea suspects Kim Jong Un and Putin in 'some kind of military deal'
South Korea has expressed deep concern about possible military cooperation between Pyongyang and Moscow after the meeting between Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin in Russia
South Korean Unification Minister Kim Yong-ho made the statement, CNN reports.
In his opinion, the two countries seem to be about to conclude "some kind of military deal." This is indicated by Kim Jong Un's recent visits to munitions factories in North Korea and his visit to Russia.
The Unification Minister also mentioned Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu's recent visit to Pyongyang and Moscow's offer to support Pyongyang's satellite development.
"I cannot help but be deeply concerned about military cooperation and an arms deal," Kim Yong-ho said.
The minister called on Pyongyang and Moscow to stop illegal actions that will lead the two countries to isolation and regression, and to comply with international norms, including UN Security Council resolutions. He noted that South Korea will closely monitor possible military exercises between the two countries.
