Russia destroys to ground some settlements in Kherson region - local governor

"The number of aerial attacks on Kherson region has slightly decreased. If a few weeks ago, the Russian forces could drop more than 80 guided aerial bombs on the territory of the region per day, now this number has decreased. However, we must understand that each such bomb is 500 to 1500 kg in TNT equivalent, so the consequences are very destructive. We all hope that our military will somehow manage to neutralize this threat. Because there are settlements in the liberated territory of Kherson region that have been completely destroyed," said Samoilenko.

The chairman of the regional council stressed that although the Defense Forces are advancing on the left bank of the Dnipro, the threat from the air is still difficult to eliminate.

"There are settlements on the right bank of the river destroyed by Russia all over Kherson region. For us, the issue of eliminating the threat from the air is one of the most important today. Our military are now advancing on the left bank of the Dnipro and are showing that they can advance further. However, infantry cannot fight against air targets. Therefore, we hope that our partners will help us eliminate such threats," he added.
