Slovakia, Czech Republic agree to supply Ukraine with their Leopard 2 tanks
According to FAZ, the Czech Republic and Slovakia have been supposed to receive Leopard 2 tanks from Germany, but at the meeting in Ramstein, they could have offered to redirect the equipment to Ukraine
This was reported by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
Referring to information from diplomatic circles, FAZ notes that Slovakia and the Czech Republic support the idea of supplying Ukraine with German-made Leopard 2 tanks.
"As part of the 'ring exchange', Germany agreed to replace them with refurbished Leopard 2A4s in smaller numbers, i.e. not the newest versions. The first of these tanks were delivered to Prague and Bratislava in December, and crew training has already begun," the news outlet added.
