German government does not object to Poland sending Leopard tanks to Ukraine

Poland can send Leopard tanks without authorisation, a German government spokesperson has said, Sky News reported on January 20.
However he added that Berlin did not receive an official request for this from Warsaw.
Germany owns the export licence for the Leopard main battle tank so officially needs to authorise other countries sending it abroad, Sky News specified.
The spokesperson's comments follow Poland's prime minister saying his country could send its tanks whether or not it gets German permission.
