Situation on Kherson region's east bank remains tense - Ukrainian Southern Defense Forces
Situation on the left bank of Kherson region remains tense, Ukrainian Armed Forces find it difficult to hold positions
Natalia Humeniuk, Captain 1st Rank, head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of Ukraine's Southern Defense Forces, says on the Espreso TV channel.
"It is very difficult for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to hold their positions. All of Russia's assaults are mostly on foot, using infantry. However, this is happening almost without the support of armored vehicles, because they are standing in very dense rows around this frontier and demonstrating to the enemy what will happen to them when they move a little further," she noted.
According to Humeniuk, Russians are mainly using equipment in the Avdiivka area. While in the south, they employ human waves, which form punitive units. However, Ukrainian troops managed to repel 13 Russian attacks over the past day, as a result of which Russian troops suffered losses and retreated to the positions from which they came.
- According to the General Staff, Ukrainian troops continue to expand their foothold in the Kherson direction. Despite significant losses, Russia keeps trying to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions.
