Situation becomes even more severe in east, enemy tries to gain at least something by anniversary of invasion - Zelenskyy
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced an increase in the invading Russian forces' offensive actions on the eastern front
The president said this in a video message.
“Today I held several operational meetings with our military. There has been a certain increase in the occupiers' offensive actions at the front - in the east of our country. The situation is getting even tougher,” Zelenskyy said.
The President noted that the invaders are trying to demonstrate at least some achievement on the frontline on the anniversary of the full-scale invasion.
“I am grateful to all our soldiers who are ready for this and who demonstrate the resilience Ukraine needs. We have stood firm all this time - from February to February. The enemy is trying to get at least something now to show that Russia has some chances on the anniversary of the invasion. In such circumstances, we all have to be especially united, especially focused on national interests and, as a result, especially resilient. I am confident that we will be,” Zelenskyy said.
The president also announced the awarding of 244 servicemen of Ukraine's Armed Forces.
“In the evening, I signed the traditional decrees on awarding our soldiers. 244 servicemen of Ukraine's Armed Forces were awarded state decorations. I am grateful to everyone who is fighting for Ukraine! I am grateful to everyone who helps us get the weapons we need! I thank everyone in the world who supports us! Glory to Ukraine!” Zelenskyy said.
