Scholz deliberately delays arms supplies to Ukraine - Ukrainian diplomat Chaly
Ukrainian diplomat Valeriy Chaly believes that Germany does not demonstrate a determination to share the joint leadership of NATO countries
He shared his opinions on Espreso TV’s Verdict with Serhiy Rudenko program.
"The German leadership, in particular Chancellor Olaf Scholz, has been deliberately delaying the supply of weapons to Ukraine for several years now. This is a conscious decision, all the explanations that were made have now been refuted. They said that our soldiers with higher education cannot master tanks. They said that they needed to be refueled with something special, and came up with any excuse possible. However, the reasons are political - it's a fact. This is a deliberate delay in the supply of weapons. They claim that there may be an escalation on the part of Russia, and Germany does not want this. But, firstly, Ukraine already has tanks, and secondly, the escalation on the part of Russia has taken place anyway," emphasized Chaly.
The diplomat also added that every Leopard that has not been delivered yet means hundreds of dead Ukrainian soldiers.
"Germany has no arguments. I don't know what Russians do to hold back Germany. Either they don't want to go ahead of the Anglo-Saxons in order to maintain a more special relationship with the future Russia, the criminal Russia. Russia, which is now destroying European security, including German security. Germany declares its desire to be the engine of Europe's development together with France, but does not demonstrate its determination to share the joint leadership of NATO countries," Chaly emphasized.
