Russia's UN Security Council presidency is ‘slap in face’ – Ukraine’s foreign minister

He made the statement on Twitter.

"The Russian UNSC presidency is a slap in the face to the international community. I urge the current UNSC members to thwart any Russian attempts to abuse its presidency. I also remind that Russia is an outlaw on the UNSC," Kuleba said.

Russia's presidency of the UN Security Council began on April 1, 2023. It will last for a month.

• On March 30, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that Russia's presidency of the UN Security Council from April 1 was a bad joke. 

• On March 31, the White House said Russia has no place in the UN Security Council, but there is no legal way to deprive the aggressor of permanent membership.
