
Russia’s Shahed drone attack on Pavlohrad claims 3 lives, including child
On April 24, the Russian invading forces launched strike drones at Ukraine, resulting in fatalities in Pavlohrad and leaving 15 others injured
Death toll in Pavlohrad
Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Lysak reported that Russian attacks led to fires at industrial sites in two districts.
Following the assault, a fire broke out in a high-rise building in Pavlohrad. As of 07:30 a.m., two deaths were confirmed, including that of a 76-year-old woman.
"Six individuals were hospitalized, with one in critical condition, while the others are in moderate condition. Two others, including a 15-year-old girl, received medical assistance on-site," Lysak added.
At 08:33 a.m., the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration confirmed three fatalities from the attack, including a child.
Later, the administration updated the casualty toll, stating that 10 people had been injured in Pavlohrad, with eight of them hospitalized.
By 11:28 a.m., the number of injured had risen to 14, including three children. In addition to the 15- and 17-year-olds, a 6-year-old boy was also among the injured.
Five of the injured remain in the hospital, with three in critical condition.
Along with the five-story building, the city's infrastructure sustained damage, and part of a social institution was destroyed. Several vehicles were also set on fire.
By 2:30 p.m., the Prosecutor General’s Office reported 15 people had been injured.
"Among the hospitalized is a 17-year-old boy in stable condition, along with nearly all those injured. A 36-year-old woman is in critical condition. Many patients are suffering from poisoning due to combustion products, as well as head injuries, fractures, and lacerations. All are receiving necessary medical care," the report stated.
Overnight, Russian troops shelled Nikopol and the Marhanets community, utilizing FPV drones and Grad MLRS.
Attack on Kharkiv
At 12:15 a.m., Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov confirmed that Russian drones were attacking the city.
"Kharkiv is under attack by enemy Shaheds. We heard two explosions, and drones are still in the air," Terekhov warned. He later reported that drones had struck an industrial site, sparking fires.
"The industrial site was hit multiple times, causing fires," the mayor added.
By 12:53 a.m., a Russian drone strike was recorded in the Slobidskyi district, igniting a fire at a civilian enterprise. No information on casualties has been provided.
