Russia's personnel losses exceed 243,000 soldiers – General Staff
Yesterday, July 24, Russia lost 600 soldiers, 14 drones, and 12 tanks in Ukraine

The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 25.07.23 were approximately:
- personnel – about 243,220 (+600)
- tanks ‒ 4174 (+12)
- armored personnel vehicles ‒ 8131 (+13)
- artillery systems – 4705 (+30)
- MLRS – 698 (+1)
- anti-aircraft warfare systems ‒ 454 (+2)

Defense Forces repelled Russian attacks in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka areas, over 35 combat clashes occurred over the past day
In the last 24 hours, there have been more than 35 battles between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and the Russian army. This was shared by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the morning briefing on July 25.
Situation in different regions of Ukraine
- On the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed. Certain units of the Armed Forces of Belarus perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.
- On the northeastern border with Russia, Russian troops launched air strikes on two settlements in the Kharkiv region. They also launched mortar and artillery attacks, targeting a total of over 30 settlements across Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
- In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops shelled 7 settlements across the Kharkiv region. Three areas suffered from air strikes.
- In the Lyman direction, Russian troops shelled 6 settlements across the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Six areas were subjected to air strikes.
- In the Bakhmut direction, Russians shelled over 10 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled Russian attacks in the area of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Ivanivske, and Klishchiivka. Two areas were subjected to air strikes.
- In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops shelled over 10 settlements with artillery, and three areas suffered from air strikes. Ukrainian forces repelled all the attacks.
- In the Marinka direction, Russian troops shelled over 10 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery. Ukrainian forces hold the defense.
- In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops shelled over 10 settlements and tried to advance near Rivnopil, unsuccessfully.
- In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops are on the defensive. They shelled over 35 settlements across Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. Three areas suffered from airstrikes.
- Meanwhile, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue their offensive operation in Melitopol and Berdyansk directions. They are holding their positions and countering enemy attacks.
Russia launched 1 missile and 72 air strikes against Ukraine in one day
The enemy continues to harm Ukraine's civilian population, ignoring the laws and customs of war, and using terror tactics.
On July 24, the Russian army launched 1 missile and 72 air strikes, attacking Ukrainian troop positions and populated areas with over 50 MLRS attacks. This resulted in the deaths and injuries of children and civilians, destruction of port infrastructure, grain storage facilities, and residential buildings in southern Ukraine.
The possibility of further missile and airstrikes across Ukraine remains high.
AFU hit 4 Russian command posts, 3 anti-aircraft systems, and 9 artillery pieces in firing positions
During the past day, our Defense Forces struck the enemy's command post, launched 8 attacks on enemy gatherings, and 6 strikes on their anti-aircraft missile systems.
Ukrainian defenders successfully destroyed 3 enemy Shahed-136 type drones.
Our missile troops and artillery units targeted 4 enemy control points, 3 anti-aircraft defense systems, 9 artillery units in firing positions, and 4 enemy radio electronic warfare stations.
