Attack on Kyiv and region

At 11:40 p.m., Russian drones were spotted in the region, and air defense forces responded. Around midnight, the first explosions rocked Kyiv, according to an Espreso correspondent. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that air defense systems were active in the capital.

At 6:06 a.m., rescuers reported that a massive combined attack on Kyiv had killed nine people, according to preliminary data. The strike injured 63 others, 42 of whom were hospitalized — including six children. By 8 a.m., Interior Minister reports indicated that two children might still be trapped under the rubble.

Attack on Kharkiv: two victims reported

At 1:09 a.m., Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported explosions in the city.

“Kharkiv was attacked by missiles. There are explosions in the city. More strikes are possible - be careful,” the message reads.

At 1:28 a.m., Terekhov informed about repeated missile attacks on Kharkiv. Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Regional Military Administration, wrote about powerful explosions.

At 2:06 a.m., the mayor of Kharkiv wrote that Kharkiv had been hit by seven missile strikes. The consequences of the attack are being clarified, and no information on casualties has been received.

Later he said that one of the strikes on Novobavarskyi district resulted in broken windows in high-rise buildings.

“There is also information about damage to private houses in the Osnovianskyi district of the city. At the moment, there are no casualties either,” Terekhov wrote at 2:44 a.m.

At 3:04 a.m., Terekhov reported that Kharkiv was under Russian attack again. Shaheds are being spotted over the city. Syniehubov wrote that there was an explosion. A few minutes later, there was information about repeated explosions.

At 3:34 a.m., the head of the region wrote that a series of explosions had occurred in Kharkiv.

“Kharkiv is under attack from cruise missiles for the second time in a night. Two explosions were heard, and there is still a missile in the air,” Terekhov reported at 4:52 a.m.

Shortly after, he reported that the latest Russian attack on Kharkiv had injured two people, according to preliminary data. Mayor Ihor Terekhov stated that the strike hit a densely populated residential area, shattering windows in several high-rise buildings.

According to the Situation Center and the mayor, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv 24 times overnight — 14 times with UAVs and 10 times with missiles.

“The damaged areas include multi-storey residential buildings, a city clinic, a school building, private yards, industrial enterprises, and a hotel complex. One person was hospitalized,” he added.

At 8:14 a.m., Kharkiv City Council member Bohdan Tkachuk told Espreso that around 20 strikes hit the city overnight, though it was difficult to classify them precisely.

“There were Shaheds, there were missiles — most appear to have been cruise missiles,” Tkachuk said. “Some were shot down, but not all. The damage is extensive: multi-storey buildings, a local enterprise, private homes, an open football field in a residential neighborhood, and a school with a crater and shattered windows, along with nearby houses.”

 Attack on Ukrzaliznytsia

Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine's national railway company, reported that a combined Russian attack injured two railroad workers — a conductor in Zhytomyr and a driver in Kyiv. Doctors are examining both, and their condition is currently satisfactory.

The attack also damaged a technical track and several administrative and technical railway buildings in the Kyiv and Kharkiv regions.

Aftermath in Poltava region

Volodymyr Kohut, acting head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, said that a commercial building and a car were damaged in Myrhorod district as a result of missile fragments falling.

Attack on Khmelnytskyi: two people injured

The head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Tiurin, reported that as a result of the attack, one man sustained a light leg injury and was taken to hospital. A minor also sustained a glass cut to her leg. Her condition is satisfactory, she did not need hospitalization.

Explosion in Mykolaiv

At 12:05 a.m., Suspilne reported that an explosion was heard in Mykolaiv. 25 minutes earlier, an air raid alert had been declared throughout the region.
