The Center for Countering Disinformation has published a selection of fakes that the Russian Federation released on August 15
This was reported by Espreso TV.
According to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, on August 15, the Russians launched three major deceptions.
Fake: Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that "Russia does not use cluster munitions for humanitarian reasons, but may reconsider this decision".
Disinformation: Russian President Vladimir Putin stated: "The West is trying to further inflame the conflict in Ukraine and draw other states into it."
Manipulation: Russian Foreign Minister S. Lavrov said that "by pumping Ukraine with weapons, the West is increasing the threat of a clash between nuclear powers."
Russian propagandists publish a new fake claiming that a leptospirosis epidemic is spreading among the military of the Lviv territorial defense.
