Russians will not give up Kherson without a fight - military expert Chernyk
The Russian army is building up its forces on the right bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region, preparing for battle.
Military expert Petro Chernyk said this on Espreso.
"Strategically, only one important detail has changed, they came to the conclusion not to give up Kherson without a fight. We talked about the fact that in the Kherson region there are prerequisites for balanced counteroffensive actions to liberate the right bank of the Dnieper. The enemy has realized this strategic operational reality and is saturating the right bank with its troops," he noted.
In his opinion, the success of such Russian actions is a debatable issue.
"We felt the pain point - the reduction of its logistical support. Strikes on the Antoniv bridge and other bridges, as well as on pontoons, are a very good tool to ensure that the grouping of troops does not have normal support. First of all, a man is fighting - he needs food, drinking water and medicines. We have learned how to beat these logistical chains," added Chernyk.
According to the expert, this group of Russian troops will definitely be exhausted.
"It is impossible to predict when it will come to a big battle. It could be in a few days or weeks. The hardest battles are ahead," he concluded.
