Russians plan to use aviation for major Donbas offensive – Ukrainian Defense Intelligence
The combat aircraft of the terrorist country are located mainly on Russian territory, at least 200 km from the state border of Ukraine, beyond the range of the AFU
This was reported by the GUR on February 19 on Telegram.
Andriy Yusov, Ukrainian Intel representative, reported this in a comment to the Kyiv Post. He noted that according to Ukrainian Defense Intelligence, the Russians can use aviation to support their ground forces in the east of Ukraine.
"These forces can primarily be used in Donbas. Russia's offensive in the east continues, and this is the implementation of Putin's plan to capture the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions by the end of March," Andriy Yusov said.
However, he predicts that Moscow's attempt to seize the eastern regions of Ukraine will fail – with aircraft or without it.
"Russia will not be able to implement this plan. In order to protect Ukraine, we need to strengthen not only our air defense, but also our aviation," he added.
