This was stated by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko in an interview with Suspilne.
He said that only according to preliminary estimates, 5,000 civilians were killed in Mariupol.
"As for the dead in Mariupol, the situation is approximate. We count at least 5,000. But these are exclusively civilians. The military can be counted after examining the entire city. It is almost completely destroyed. 90% of the city's infrastructure cannot be restored or is partially subject to recovery", Kyrylenko said.
