In the early hours of Sunday, September 8, Russian forces attacked the Ukrainian city of Sumy, killing two people and injuring four others, including two children

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported the attack, stating, "During the night of September 8, 2024, the enemy launched an airstrike on Sumy."
The airstrike resulted in two deaths and left four people injured, including two children. Private homes and cars were also damaged in the city.
"Emergency services are working to deal with the aftermath, and the wounded are receiving medical care," the military administration added.

On September 6, the Russian army launched missiles on Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region, killing one person, and injuring 61 others, including children.
