
Russian airstrike on high-rise in Kostiantynivka injures 12, woman feared trapped under rubble
On the night of May 7, the Russian occupying army dropped an aerial bomb on an apartment building in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. The attack injured at least 12 people, and a woman may be trapped under the rubble
The Office of the Prosecutor General reported the information.
According to the investigation, on May 7, 2025, at 10:50 p.m., Russian forces attacked Kostiantynivka using a FAB-250 bomb with a UMPC module. The munition struck a residential apartment building, the report said.
As a result of the airstrike, three men and one woman were injured. They sustained blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, contusions, and hypothermia.
Another eight civilians suffered minor injuries. Rescuers freed them from the rubble.
“Medical assistance was provided to the victims. One more woman is likely still trapped under the debris,” the Prosecutor General’s Office added.
The office noted that three apartment buildings and a store were damaged in the settlement.
"Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched in a criminal case over a war crime (Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the report states.
