Russia strikes at Kherson city center killing and injuring civilians
On the morning of January 7, Russia forces attacked the center of Kherson. Two people were killed and 5 others were injured. Residential areas, critical infrastructure and the territory of the plant were damaged
The Kherson Regional Military Administration reported the information on Telegram.
"A 62-year-old man was injured as a result of the shelling of the city’s central part," the administration said.
The man was hospitalized.
Later, Roman Mrochko, the head of the Kherson City Military Administration, wrote that the attack took place around 9 am. The man could not be saved, as he received injuries incompatible with life.
"He was wounded about an hour ago. He was hospitalized, doctors tried to save him, but his injuries were incompatible with life," he explained.
Mrochko adds that yesterday Russian forces fired several times at Kherson from the temporarily occupied left bank.
"A wounded man born in 1957 was taken to the hospital with a diagnosis of explosive trauma and shrapnel wound of the right shin," wrote the head of the Kherson City Military Administration.
Later, Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, wrote on Telegram that Russian forces had hit a private house.
"Explosions have been heard in Kherson all day. The city is under heavy fire from the Russian army. One of the terrorists' targets is a residential building in Kherson," he said.
A Kherson woman was killed and another woman was wounded as a result of a direct hit to the house.
According to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, as of Monday morning, January 8, 2 people were reported dead and 5 wounded.
According to him, the enemy fired 16 shells at Kherson.
"The Russian military hit residential areas of the region's settlements; a critical infrastructure facility and the territory of a plant in Kherson; and a store in the Beryslav district," Prokudin wrote on Telegram.
