Vitalii Kim, the head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, reported an increase in the number of victims.
"As a result of the strike, allegedly by an Iskander M missile, a fire broke out on the territory of the industrial infrastructure facility, which firefighters promptly extinguished. Twelve people were injured, four of whom were treated on an outpatient basis. Six apartment buildings also sustained minor damage," he wrote.
Earlier, the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, reported an increase in the number of victims.
"Currently, we know about 8 wounded. These are all civilians," he wrote and noted that all the victims are in satisfactory condition, none of them are "seriously injured".
"There are minor damages in 4 residential buildings. These are mostly broken windows in apartments. Our employees are examining the territory and recording the damage," the mayor added.
According to him, the Russian forces hit the city with two ballistic missiles that hit the territory of the enterprise.
The air raid alert in Mykolaiv was announced at 2:28 p.m.
Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych said that, according to preliminary information, the city was attacked with ballistic missiles.
"Mykolaiv residents, preliminary, it is ballistics. We are investigating the consequences. We will provide information," he wrote.
Later, Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, said that as of 3:27 p.m., six people were known to have been injured in the Russian attack. One person is in serious condition.
