Russian troops target logistics to hinder food supply to liberated villages in Luhansk region
Russian troops are attacking logistics routes in the Luhansk region to prevent residents of liberated villages from receiving humanitarian aid and food
The Luhansk Regional Military Administration reported the information.
"This time the enemy attacked near Svatove - towards Stelmakhivka and Novoselivske - but each of their attacks was repelled by our defenders," said Artem Lysohor, the head of the Luhansk region.
He also noted that Russian troops attacked Bilohorivka and Nevske with rocket and cannon artillery. Bilohorivka also withstood an air strike.
"Russian troops intensify attacks on logistics to impede the delivery of humanitarian goods to liberated villages and leave the population without access to food," the statement said.
Residents of the temporarily occupied part of the Luhansk region are forced to renounce their Ukrainian citizenship and get Russian passports. Moreover, on July 6, Russia enacted a law that allows "checking illegal actions of LPR residents related to the fact of exercising the rights of a citizen of Ukraine."
"If the officials of the Russian internal affairs bodies detect violations, they will send information about it to the territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, attaching supporting documents and materials," the administration noted.
According to the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the Russian authorities are conducting checks on private homeowners by Luhansk gas workers. Individuals with non-Russian gas equipment will be subjected to an additional fee, causing financial hardship for the majority of the population.
