Russian troops take control of most of Marinka ruins — British intelligence
The Russian military controls most of the ruins of Marinka. Russia is moving towards the implementation of the plan to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk region
This is stated in a British intelligence report.
As noted in the report, the Ukrainian Defense Forces still control areas on the western outskirts of Marinka.
Marinka has been on the front line since 2014. Before the full-scale war, its population was 9,000 people. Now the town is destroyed, as evidenced by drone footage.
"Russia’s renewed efforts against Marinka are part of Russia’s autumn offensive which is prioritising extending Russia’s control over the remaining parts of the Donetsk Oblast – highly likely still one of the Kremlin’s core war aims," the British intelligence service said.
It should be noted that over the past day, according to the General Staff, the following settlements of Donetsk region came under Russian artillery and mortar fire: Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Pobieda, Paraskoviivka and Novomykhailivka.

On November 30, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting in Zaporizhzhia and discussed the issue of strengthening defense in all major areas where the construction of fortifications needs to be accelerated. "Of course, this is primarily Avdiivka, Marinka and other areas in the Donetsk region - maximum attention," he said.
