The information was reported by Ukraine’s Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the prosecutor's office, on February 16, Russian troops shelled Bakhmut with cannon artillery and Grad MLRS, hitting a residential area of the city.
"Three men and two women died as a result of the Russian army attack. Nine citizens suffered shrapnel injuries of varying severity. Many residential buildings were also damaged. Currently, the occupiers continue to shell the city," the statement said.

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, over 20 settlements in the Bakhmut direction came under Russian mortar and artillery fire yesterday.
