"In the Tauride direction, the enemy attacks near Marinka, it’s a hot spot. We note that the enemy is conducting active defense in the Novopavlivka and Orikhove directions. The enemy attacked our positions 15 times over the last day, and after being repulsed, retreated. In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 enemy attacks near Marinka, the enemy launched an air strike near the town, while also shelling Pobieda," informed the spokesman.
Valeriy Shershen added that Russian troops launched unsuccessful attacks near Velyka Novosilka, Donetsk region.
"The occupiers launched an air strike near Vuhledar, fired at the settlements of Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, Prechystivka and Shakhtarske. In total, 375 attacks on our positions were registered in the Tauride direction over the last day. The enemy carried out 8 air strikes, 3 of them against Avdiivka, as well as 3 strikes by “kamikaze” drones. However, Russian troops did not launch any assaults in the Avdiivka direction. Nevertheless, the occupying forces conducted air strikes on the outskirts of Avdiivka, bombed Vodiane and Pervomaiske, Donetsk region. The enemy also shelled Avdiivka, Pervomaiske and Karlivka with artillery," said the spokesman.
The captain said that in the Zaporizhzhia direction Russian troops are on the defensive. However, they shelled 8 settlements of Zaporizhzhia region.
"Missile troops and artillery units of the Tauride Defense Forces launched 10 missile strikes on concentrations of enemy weapons and equipment during the day, and 788 fire missions were carried out," Shershen summarized.
On May 28, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 14 Russian attacks in the area of Marinka over the day.
