Ukrainian forces repel 14 Russian attacks in Marinka area in one day – General Staff

This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

The enemy continues attempting to completely seize the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. During the past day, Ukrainian units repelled 21 enemy attacks.

Today, Russia launched a massive air strike on Ukraine, detailed information to be provided later.

Russia carried out 3 missile and 13 air attacks against Ukraine

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy conducted a total of three missile strikes, two of which were carried out by S-300 air defense systems, targeting Kramatorsk. Additionally, they executed 13 air strikes and approximately 30 MLRS attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas.

The likelihood of further missile and air strikes across the entirety of Ukraine remains significantly high.

Ukrainian forces made 6 strikes on Russian positions 

In the past 24 hours, the defense aviation conducted four strikes on locations with a concentration of enemy personnel and military equipment. Additionally, three strikes were carried out on their anti-aircraft missile systems.

Our defenders successfully eliminated three enemy UAVs of different types during the same timeframe.

Furthermore, missile forces and artillery units targeted two command posts, two areas where weapons and military equipment were concentrated, two ammunition depots, and another significant military target of the enemy.

Situation by directions

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops launched unsuccessful assaults in the direction of Khromove. They shelled 10 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian forces launched an attack in the direction of 2 areas, but were unsuccessful. They also launched an airstrike on Avdiivka, and fired artillery at 4 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defense forces repelled 14 attacks near the town of Marinka. Two more settlements in the Donetsk region also came under Russian fire.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops shelled 7 settlements.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces did not launch attacks over the course of the day. Five settlements in Luhansk and Donetsk regions came under artillery fire.

On the northeastern border with Russia, Russian troops launched air strikes on one settlement  in the Kharkiv region, and carried out mortar and artillery attacks on 26 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops are trying to improve their tactical situation, unsuccessfully. They launched an airstrike near 1 settlement in the Kharkiv region. Nine settlements in the Kharkiv region came under artillery and mortar fire. 

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops are on the defensive. They launched air strikes near Chervone in the Zaporizhzhia region and Zmiivka in the Kherson region. They also shelled 16 settlements in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia region, Kherson regions and the city of Kherson.

On the northern border with Belarus, the situation remains unchanged. Certain Russian units are arriving at the training grounds of the Republic of Belarus for combat training before being sent to war in Ukraine.
