Russian troops in Crimea continue to dig trenches and build fortifications

Russian forces continue to build fortifications and trenches near Armiansk and Dzhankoi, occupied Crimea, actively involving local residents.

During the day, Russia has launched 1 missile and 16 air strikes against Ukraine

The Russian army launched 1 missile strike, 16 air strikes, and fired 4 MLRS attacks on Ukraine.

"The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high, as the enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, and continues to use terror tactics against civilians," the Ukrainian Armed Forces emphasized.

Thus, on March 29, as a result of an air strike on the infrastructure of the town of Beryslav, Kherson region, civilians were injured, private houses and civilian infrastructure were damaged.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces repel 48 Russian attacks in 4 directions and destroy a Su-24M bomber aircraft

Russian troops are focusing their efforts on offensive actions in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions.

"The towns of Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka remain at the epicenter of the fighting. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 48 enemy attacks in the above areas," the military said.

Thus, during the day, Ukrainian aviation struck 5 times at concentrations of Russian personnel and military equipment. Ukrainian Air Force units also destroyed a Russian Su-24M bomber.

"Our rocket launchers and artillerymen hit 2 concentrations of enemy manpower, weapons and military equipment, 1 ammunition depot and 2 enemy fuel and lubricant depots during the day," the General Staff added.

Situation in other areas that came under Russian attacks

On the northern and northeastern border with Belarus and Russia, the situation has not changed significantly, no signs of Russian offensive groups have been detected.

Russian forces continue to maintain a military presence in the border areas of Russian Kursk and Belgorod regions.

During the day, Russia fired near 6 settlements in the Sumy region and 7 in the Kharkiv region. Both regions border Russia and suffer attacks daily.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched unsuccessful offensives near a settlement of Vyimka over the course of the day.

Settlements in the Kupiansk and Lyman directions came under artillery fire. They include 7 settlements in the Kharkiv region; 4 in the Luhansk region,; 3 in the Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Russian army continues to assault the city of Bakhmut, with partial success. However, Ukrainian defenders are bravely holding the city and repelling numerous Russian attacks.

During the day, Russian forces launched unsuccessful offensives near Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Donetsk region and fired at 5 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In Avdiivka and Marinka directions, Russian troops launched offensives near 6 settlements, but were unsuccessful. They shelled 8 towns and villages in the Donetsk region.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops fired at 3 settlements in the Donetsk region over the last day.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the Russian army continues to hold the line. They shelled Vremivka, Donetsk region; 4 more settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region; 6 settlements in the Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

  • Earlier, Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ihnat said that Russian forces are using the tactic of attacking Ukraine with Shahed drones by launching them from different directions, making it difficult to counteract, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces have adapted to destroy them.
