Russian forces destroyed the historic center of Mariupol: the first bank of the city, the Peremoha cinema - all buildings were damaged by Russian attacks.
"The central Myru Avenue, where buildings of the late XIX - early XX centuries were located, has now been turned into ruins. The architectural monuments that survived World War II could not survive the Russian blockade and occupation," the council noted.
