Russian troops build defense lines in two directions - AFU General Staff

Over the past day, the units of the Defense Forces repelled the attacks of the Russian forces near the settlements: Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Bilohorivka, Yakovlivka, Bakhmut, Kurdyumivka, Krasnohorivka, Kamyanka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske and Maryinka in the Donetsk region.

It is noted to prevent the advance of Ukrainian soldiers in the Svatove and Lyman directions, the Russian forces equip the defense line. Continue to move personnel, ammunition and fuel and lubricants to support new units and those who have suffered losses.

Over the last day, the enemy launched 2 missile strikes on civilian objects in Komyshuvakha, Zaporizhzhia region and carried out 41 air strikes and 28 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and localities, including the city of Kherson.

The threat of missile strikes by the Russian forces on the energy system and critical infrastructure facilities throughout Ukraine remains.

There are no signs of the formation of Russian offensive groups near the northern Ukrainian boarder. Training of individual Russian units continues at the training grounds of the Republic of Belarus.

In the North-East of Ukraine, the Russian forces shelled 5 settlements (Seredyna-Buda, Bachivsk, Bilopillya, Budky and Krasnopillia) in the Sumy region, which borders Russia.

Also, 11 settlements bordering areas in the Kharkiv region suffered artillery shellings. Russia continues to hold its troops in the border areas of the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, Russia is on the defensive. The Russian fire was recorded in the areas of Kupiansk, Kyslivka, Kotlyarivka, Tabaivka, Krokhmalne Berestove, Druzhelyubivka in the Kharkiv region and Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Makiivka and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russia further focuses its main efforts on conducting offensive operations. Objects near Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Vyymka, Bilohorivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Opytne, Klishchiyivka, Pivnichne, Zalizne and New York were shelled with tanks, mortars, cannon and rocket artillery.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russia is trying to improve its tactical position. Objects near Avdiivka, Vodyane, Pervomayske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region were shelled from tanks and artillery of various types.

In the Novopavlovsky direction, Russian forces are defending. Shelling from the entire range of artillery was registered in the areas of Vuhledar, Bohoyavlenka, Prechystivka and Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian forces are conducting defensive actions. He fired artillery shells at the areas of Zahirne, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka, Mali Shcherbaky and Plavni in the Zaporizhzhia region and Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

In the Kherson direction, Russia defends previously occupied borders. Artillery and tank attacks were carried out on the areas of settlements located on the right bank of the Dnipro river in the Kherson region. Russian forces don't stop shelling the suburbs and the city of Kherson itself.
