Russian terrorist attacks on Kyiv will decrease - military expert Zgurets
Defense Express information and consulting company’s Chief Serhiy Zgurets believes that in anticipation of offensive actions by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russia will pause its strikes against Ukraine
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The consolidation of Russian unmanned aerial vehicles, ballistic and cruise missiles was aimed at a psychological and military effect. Russia will not be able to maintain such an intense pace of attacks on Ukraine on a regular basis. The Russian forces have been accumulating drones for some time. As for cruise missiles, we know the rate of production. They are not so intense as to continue to maintain the rate of strikes of more than 40 missiles per month," Zgurets said.
According to the expert, in anticipation of the Ukrainian offensive, Russia will pause and build up its potential again.
"And then think about how to use this potential to deter the offensive actions of the Ukrainian army. There will be a pause, and there will be fewer attacks on the capital of Ukraine, because these attacks are not rational from the point of view of military logic. Although we understand that the aggressor is guided by thieves' logic," Zgurets stressed.
- On the night of 30 May, Ukrainian air defence forces destroyed 20 Shahed drones in the Kyiv area, the wreckage hit a multi-storey building. As a result, one person was killed, 9 were injured, and fires and destruction were reported. Four people were injured in the region.
