For our strategic partners, this is another proof that they are doing everything right

Russia's nuclear weapons in Belarus! Shocking! Sensational! Horrible!

Several days have passed since Putin's statement. Emotions should have subsided by now. Time to analyze what this means, in a cool-headed way.

For Ukraine, it does not change anything at all. Because our border with Russia is much longer than the one with Belarus. If tactical nuclear weapons are brought to Belarus, it will change literally nothing.

There will be little change for Lithuania and Poland, which share a border with the Republic of Belarus. This is because the Russian Iskanders, which are capable of carrying tactical nuclear weapons, are already stationed in the Kaliningrad region. Therefore, there is no reason for a significant increase in tension in these countries.

For our strategic partners, this serves as further confirmation that they are on the right track. The Kremlin's erratic behavior is increasingly becoming a problem for the civilized world. Such provocations by the Kremlin only strengthen their resolve to support Ukraine until it achieves victory.

China, which was expected to support its "younger brother," showed little enthusiasm, to put it mildly, for Moscow's new nuclear initiative. It was China that reminded the world of the joint statement made by several countries on January 5, 2022, which emphasized the importance of avoiding nuclear warfare and reducing strategic risks.

A few individuals who are associated with Putin, such as the President of Bulgaria (whose role is largely ceremonial as Bulgaria is a parliamentary republic), have suggested that weapon supplies to Ukraine should be stopped. We are waiting for similar statements from other figures in the Russian lobby, including the nominal President of Croatia.

So we keep calm. We work, each doing everything in their power. And we believe in our Armed Forces!
