Russian overnight attack on four Ukrainian regions causes destruction

On the night of Sunday, October 29, Russian forces attacked the territory of Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Poltava, and Khmelnytskyi regions

Dnipropetrovsk region

Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, reported that the Dnipropetrovsk region was shelled.

Last night, Russian forces carried out four shelling incidents in the region, with heavy artillery fire hitting Nikopol district. 

This resulted in damage to six houses in the town of Nikopol, along with harm to an administrative building and a private business. 

The Myrove community also experienced Russian shelling, and the area is currently under examination.

Fortunately, there were no casualties in these incidents.

Kherson region

Overnight, Russian troops also attacked the village of Novoberysla, Kherson region. 

According to the Kherson regional military administration, there were four attacks by guided aerial bombs during the night. 

These attacks caused damage to residential buildings but, thankfully, did not result in any casualties.

Poltava region

During the night, the Russian military also launched an attack on the Poltava region. 

According to Filip Pronin, head of the Poltava regional military administration, Russian troops launched a missile attack on the Myrhorod district. 

Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties or damage to civilian infrastructure. Pronin added that all emergency services are currently operating at the scene of the attack.

Khmelnytskyi region

On the night of October 29, residents in Khmelnytskyi heard the sounds of explosions. The air defense forces were active in the region.

An air alert was issued in several regions during the night, and around 4:00 AM, it was reported that Russian-launched drones were in the Khmelnytskyi region, with subsequent explosions. 

The air defense forces were engaged and performed admirably, according to the message. 

Fortunately, there were no casualties and no damage to civilian infrastructure. 

  • Russian troops launched 5 attack drones and a Kh-59 guided air missile over Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force destroyed all Russian drones.

  • Since October 25, rescuers continue to help civilians affected by Russian shelling in the Shepetivka district of the Khmelnytskyi region. Over 50 rescuers are involved.
