Russian forces shell Luhansk region 4 times a day with rockets, 5 times with mortars, 3 times with artillery
On July 15, Russian forces have fired rockets, mortars, and artillery across the Luhansk region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces did not let them capture the Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway.
Luhansk regional military administration head, Sergiy Gaidai, shared the update in his Telegram channel.
"The Ukrainian military stopped the enemy's attempt to take over the road between Lysychansk and Bakhmut. Russian forces have been aiming to capture a strategically important road for them for more than two months, but they still cannot establish control over several kilometers of this road. Ukrainian defenders stopped these enemy attempts with heavy fire, which forced them to move back," he emphasized.
Also, Russian forces continue to inflict missile, air, and artillery strikes on the Luhansk region, and then try to launch an assault. They destroy houses, infrastructure, and kill people.
"During July 15, the enemy launched four missile strikes on populated areas and around them, carried out three artillery attacks and five more - prolonged mortar shelling. In particular, airstrikes were carried out on Verkhnokamyanka and Bilogorivka. A missile-aircraft strike was recorded near the latter," noted Sergiy Gaidai.
Russian forces tried to improve the tactical situation in the Verkhnokamyanka region by offensive and assault actions.
