Russian forces shell Kherson, wounding many people - press officer Pletenchuk

He said this on Espreso TV. 

“Unfortunately, the shelling continues, and there are many wounded again on the outskirts of Kherson. Some of them are in a serious condition. Most of the victims are residents of settlements around Kherson. I am currently in the department of the regional children's hospital, which was hit by the Russians with the Grad multiple launch rocket systems. On New Year's Eve at exactly twelve o'clock, one of the rockets hit the ward where the babies were supposed to be. That is, the shelling continues, even on New Year's Eve, the enemy “worked” according to the full program,” he said. 

Dmytro Pletenchuk noted that the dynamics of shelling does not change, but the only positive thing is that the Ukrainian Defense Forces of the Kherson region and the Hrim (Thunder) tactical group neutralized several Russian guns. 

“As for the enemy's attacks, they are permanent. At the moment it is artillery fire, that is, the enemy's MLRS and guns are primarily working. There was no information about any attacks by the infantry units of the Russian army,” Pletenchuk said.
