Russian forces shell 30 settlements, kill 16 people in a day
The Russian army has shelled 30 populated areas of Ukraine. In the attacks on August 3, a total of 16 people died.
This was announced by First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yevhen Yenin.
"Not a day goes by when we don't record shelling in Russia. Just in the past day, the police received information about shelling of 30 settlements, as a result of which 16 people died and dozens more were injured. The situation remains extremely tense in the Donetsk region, shelling continues mercilessly in the Mykolaiv region, Kharkiv region, Sumy region, Chernihiv region and Kherson region," he said.
According to him, among the people who were injured on August 3 is a pyrotechnician who worked in the Chernihiv region.
"During these 161 days of the new war, our pyrotechnicians found and destroyed about 174,000 explosive objects. Unfortunately, we cannot ignore the victims. Today, one of our pyrotechnicians was injured in the Chernihiv region. We inspected the territory of about 67,000 hectares, which is approximately 94,000 football fields. This work is ongoing to destroy all the mine heritage that came and is coming to us from our enemy," the deputy minister added.
