Russian forces may repeat ‘goodwill gesture’ in Crimea – military expert

The recent attacks on Russian military facilities in Crimea create the preconditions for Russia to repeat its so-called ‘goodwill gesture’ as the Kremlin usually describes the retreat of its troops

Military expert, co-chairman of the civil initiative Right Cause Dmytro Sniehyrov said this on Espreso TV.

"After the neutralization of missile and air defense systems, the very existence of the Crimean bridge as the main logistical component will be in question," he said.

According to him, the geography of strikes on the territory of Crimea, from Dzhankoi to Sevastopol, is impressive.

"Virtually all military airfields of the Russian forces located in the temporarily occupied Crimea were under attack. This kind of strikes can be classified as the first stage of the cascading nature of the planning of the operation to liberate Crimea. This means taking fire control of Russian missile and air defense systems and military facilities. This is a reflection of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' successful actions during the liberation of the Kherson region," the military expert explained.
