Russian forces intensify counterintelligence in Luhansk region to prevent information leaks – General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on April 13.

It is noted that the number of patrols has increased, and during the raids and home searches, Russians take away cell phones from locals. It was also forbidden to leave the settlements.

Ukrainian missile forces and artillery destroyed Russian electronic warfare station

Ukrainian aviation launched 3 strikes on the invading Russian forces' military positions over the day.

In turn, missile and artillery units hit 2 control points, 2 manpower concentration areas, as well as a radar station and an enemy electronic warfare station.

Russian forces launched 20 MLRS attacks against Ukraine

The Russian army also launched 11 airstrikes during the day, injuring people. 

Invading Russian forces are attacking at the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 20 enemy assaults over the last day.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling Ukrainian border areas: 3 settlements in the Sumy region, as well as 6 more in the Kharkiv region were attacked. 

Situation in other frontline Ukrainian regions

• In the Kupiansk direction, 5 settlements  in the Kharkiv region came under enemy fire. 

• In the Lyman direction, 5 settlements were attacked by the invading Russian forces. 

• In the Bakhmut direction, heavy fighting for the fortress city continues. 12 localities in the Donetsk region were subjected to numerous Russian attacks. 

• In the Avdiivka direction, occupying Russian troops attacked 5 localities in the Donetsk region.

• In the Mariinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled numerous enemy attacks over the last day. At the same time, 5 localities came under enemy fire.

• In the Shakhtarsk direction, 5 villages in the Donetsk region were shelled. 

• In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, 11 towns and villages were subjected to enemy shelling. 

In temporarily occupied Crimea, the invading Russian forces are illegally detaining 168 Crimean political prisoners and about 20 residents of southern Ukraine.
