In the temporarily occupied Crimea, Russian forces illegally detain 168 Crimean political prisoners and about 20 residents of southern Ukraine

Eskender Bariiev, the head of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, shared the information on Espreso TV.
"Currently, 168 people are detained, that is, they are in captivity and pre-trial detention centers - these are Crimean political prisoners. Of these, 119 are representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people," he emphasized.
Eskender Bariiev noted that Russian forces have abducted more than 290 people in southern Ukraine. More than 60 Ukrainians have been released, and the rest are held in pre-trial detention centers in occupied Crimea.
