Russian forces do not control Avdiivka spoil heap – Ukrainian serviceman Volkov
Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman Serhiy Volkov said that the occupying Russian forces do not have control over Stepove and Avdiivka spoil tip
He said this on the air of the Espreso TV channel
"The intensity of enemy assaults is now decreasing in the Avdiivka sector. The enemy is consolidating and pulling up new reserves. They are regrouping closer to the railroad. Then they are planning to try to move towards the plant again," said Volkov.
Volkov noted that the Russian statements about the control of Stepove and Avdiivka spoil heap are not true.
"Fighting continues in the area of Stepove. Therefore, there is no question of any control over this settlement by the occupiers. They loudly claim to control the Avdiivka spoil heap. This is not true. This area is very effectively shelled from our side, so they cannot do anything there. However, if we talk about the overall situation in the Avdiivka sector in terms of fire control, neither we nor they have it. The distances are too short," he added.
- Yevhen Ievliev, a member of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, noted that the enemy continues to move its equipment to Avdiivka, covering the movement with mortar and artillery fire.
- On November 10, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhnyi said that Ukrainian soldiers had eliminated about 10,000 Russian troops in a month of fighting around Avdiivka.
