Russian forces dig almost 8 km of trenches on Crimean coast – Krym.Realii
Invading Russian forces have dug almost 8 kilometers of trenches on the coast of the temporarily occupied Crimea – from Yevpatoria to Zaozerne
Krym.Realii reported that satellite images show that Russian troops have dug an almost 8-kilometer-long line of trenches on the coast of the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula – from Yevpatoria to the village of Zaozerne.
“This is hardly directly related to the situation at the front. Well, because, as much as we all would like it, a repetition of something like Operation Overlord, that is, the landings in Normandy in 1944 – a massive landing, many landing ships, large masses of infantry being thrown ashore, airborne troops coming down – unfortunately, this is not our story. Well, first of all, because we have, let's say, not many amphibious ships. It looks like the Russians were more engaged in imitation activities here,” Ivan Kyrychevskyi, a military expert and columnist for the Defense Express portal, told the agency.
Also, in early March this year, the length of the trenches was just over three and a half kilometers. At that time, the information that fortifications were being built in the temporarily occupied Crimea right on the beaches near Yevpatoria resonated.
