Russian forces deploy 200 conscripts from Rostov to Luhansk region – General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on February 27.

The Ukrainian forces' aviation launched 4 strikes on the invading Russian troops' positions. Also, the Ukrainian military destroyed 9 out of 12 Iranian Shahed-136 and 1 Zala strike UAVs over the past day.

In turn, missile and artillery units hit one control center, one area of enemy manpower concentration and one air defense position.

150 wounded Russian soldiers brought to a military hospital in the Kherson region

“A military hospital has been set up in the village of Kalanchak on the basis of the local hospital. About 150 wounded servicemen of the Russian armed forces have already been brought there. According to available information, the medical staff are exclusively Russians,” the statement says. 

Also, the General Staff said that the enemy continues to make attempts to discredit the Ukrainian Armed Forces and intimidate residents of the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region. The enemy again fired mortars at residential areas in Oleshky and accused the AFU of doing so.

Russian forces launched over 55 MLRS attacks on Ukraine

12 airstrikes were launched using Iranian Shahed-136 attack UAVs.

The enemy is focusing its main efforts on conducting offensives in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, and is increasing the number of personnel.

Near the state Ukrainian border, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. In the border areas of the Bryansk and Kursk regions, the enemy is installing engineering equipment, including anti-tank ditches.

At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling the entire border line with mortars and artillery: 2 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 6 more in the Sumy region, as well as 5 villages in the Kharkiv region were attacked. 

Russian attacks on other Ukrainian regions:

• In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the enemy conducted several unsuccessful offensives. 9 settlements came under fire. 

• In the Bakhmut direction, 8 settlements of the Donetsk region were attacked. 

• In the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy continued to target the Ukrainian troops' positions and launched several unsuccessful attacks. 10 settlements came under enemy fire. 

• In the Zaporizhzhia direction, 17 settlements were shelled. The enemy is actively conducting aerial reconnaissance to adjust artillery fire, and deployed a Zoo-1 radar complex near Stepove to determine the Ukrainian positions. 

• In the Kherson direction, over 20 settlements of the Kherson region, located on the right bank of the Dnipro River, suffered from Russian artillery.
