He said this on Espreso TV.

"In the area of responsibility of the Eastern group of troops, the hottest area is Lyman-Kupyansk. After a short pause, the enemy resumed combat actions, using assault companies. In particular, Storm, Storm Z, units of the 1st tank company, the 6th and 20th armies of the Russian Federation. Over the past day, the enemy fired 710 times at Ukrainian positions using various types of weapons. 15 attacks were repelled in the Lyman-Kupyansk sector," noted Yevlash.

According to the head of the press service of the Eastern Military Grouping, Russia is currently focusing its attention and efforts on capturing and surrounding the town of Kupyansk, but without success.

"All enemy attacks are met with a powerful response from the Defense Forces. Having been hit in the teeth, the enemy retreats, licking its wounds. But having recovered, the invaders continue their attacks with columns and meat assaults," noted Yevlash.

  • Throughout the day on Sunday, October 15, the Russian army continued to try to attack in the areas of Andriivka and Klishchiivka in the Bakhmut sector, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to repel the enemy attacks and eliminate another 860 Russian servicemen.

  • A report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) says that in the Russian information space, the initial optimism about the Russian advance in the Avdiivka area has been gradually replaced by difficulties and a slowdown in offensive operations.
