Russian diplomat at UN reposts fake news about capture of Leopard tank near Bakhmut
Russia's First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyanskiy has published on social media a fake photo of a Leopard tank allegedly captured near Bakhmut
The photo was posted on his Twitter page.
Polyanskiy retweeted someone else's propaganda message about the alleged capture of a Leopard tank with a Polish crew by Russians. The photo shows a tank half-submerged in the mud with a Russian flag on it.
"A good start. Stay tuned – there will be more," the diplomat captioned the photo.
In the comments, it was immediately pointed out to him that this photo of the tank was taken several years ago at a NATO exercise in Germany, and the Russian flag was simply painted on it.
The description of Polyansky's profile states that he "hates lies and fake news."
