Russian Defense Minister accuses Poland of intention to seize western Ukrainian regions

He said this at a meeting of the board of the Russian Defense Ministry, Interfax reports.
"There are plans to create a so-called Polish-Ukrainian unit on a regular basis, ostensibly to ensure the security of western Ukraine, but in fact to further occupy this territory," Shoigu said.

On July 22, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Poland and Lithuania were planning to occupy Ukraine. "As for the Polish leaders, they apparently expect to form a coalition under the NATO 'umbrella' and directly intervene in the conflict in Ukraine in order to "tear off" a bigger piece for themselves, to regain what they consider to be their historical territories - today's western Ukraine," the Kremlin's lord of propaganda said.
