Russian army uses chemical weapons in Bakhmut sector - Major Kudriashov
The Russian army is using factory-made and self-made chemical weapons in the Bakhmut sector, which causes certain problems for the Ukrainian army personnel
Deputy commander of the 3rd Detached Assault Brigade Major Rodion Kudriashov said this on Espreso TV.
"Yes, this is not the first time the enemy has used chemical weapons. These are both self-made and factory-made chemical munitions, which the Russian troops are trying to use to hit the personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces," he noted.
Kudriashov added that the effect of this weapon is dizziness and partial loss of vision. According to the major, this weapon is similar to the one used by Russians in their country during the dispersal of rallies.
"In general, they use everything from tear gas to an unknown substance, which is still being tested. This causes certain problems for the personnel, but one way or another we are finding tools to deal with it," the major emphasized.

On July 18, it was reported that the Russian army had concentrated its main efforts in the Kupiansk sector and was continuing its offensive, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces were holding the line. The enemy is moving reserves to the Bakhmut direction to stop the advance of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
