Russian army shells 9 Ukrainian regions, injuring 17 people, including children

Information on the consequences of the shelling was released by the regional military administrations.

Chernihiv region: over the day, the Russian army fired 5 times with artillery and mortars, and launched 2 unguided missiles at the Novhorod-Siverskyi district. There were no casualties or damage.

Sumy region: at night and in the morning,  invading Russian troops launched 9 attacks. 5 communities were shelled.

• In the Krasnopillia community, three private residential buildings, a gas pipeline, and a power line were damaged as a result of the shelling.

During the day, Russians fired 21 times at the border areas, hitting 7 communities. 

• In the Hlukhiv community, as a result of one of the shelling 3 children were wounded, born in 2010, 2013 and 2014. One child was hospitalized, the others received medical aid without hospitalization.

• In the Seredyna-Buda community, occupying Russian forces launched a helicopter strike. There were also mortar attacks, and the roof of the administrative building of the enterprise caught fire.

Zaporizhzhia region: Russia fired 71 times at 14 localities in the region: 61 with artillery at Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Novodarivka, and Bilohiria, as well as 10 with MLRS at Levadne, Olhove, Chervone, Kamianske and other frontline villages.

In the morning, Russia attacked Orikhove, causing a casualty. The 55-year-old man was promptly taken to a medical facility.

Dnipropetrovsk region: last night the aggressor targeted the Marhanets community in the Nikopol district. They were shooting from heavy artillery. No one was killed or injured.

Kharkiv region: the Russian troops fired mortar and artillery at 8 settlements overnight. The village of Lyptsi, Kharkiv district, came under 120 mm mortar fire. 

The shelling of Kupiansk damaged 2 residential buildings, a railway stop and an outbuilding, and set off a fire in an open area.

Luhansk region: the enemy forces became active again in the Svatove district - they tried to attack Stelmakhivka, but received fire from Ukrainian defenders and retreated. Russia is not reducing the number of aircraft used in this sector of the frontline. 

Donetsk region: occupying Russian troops shelled 13 settlements. Among them: Avdiivka, Chasiv Yar, Kostiantynivka, Velyka Novosilka, Pivnichne, Ocheretyno, New York, Novoselivka Persha, Skuchne, Keramik, Shakhtarske, and Nelipivka.

Over the last day, 11 people were wounded in the Donetsk region.

Mykolaiv region: after midnight, the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed two enemy attack UAVs. 

Kherson region: over the last day, the Russian troops launched 54 attacks. 

In total, 2 people were killed and 2 were injured in the last day as a result of Russian aggression.

• On the morning of June 16, the occupying Russian army attacked a phenol plant in New York, Donetsk region, one of the world's largest producers of coke products.
